Renewable Energy 

With the increasing demand for alternative fuels, we offer all forms of renewable energy. 

 

Solar - Either solar panels or evacuated tubes which can heat cylinders for domestic hot water, thermal stores for underfloor heating (supplementary) or heating of swimming pools.  

 

Heat pumps - Ground source heat pumps using either boreholes or 'slinky' pipe coils. Air source heat pumps - which can be either air to water or air to air. These generally work on a principle of a co-efficient performance (COP) of 3 or 4 i.e. for every 1kw used to operate the heat pump 3kw or 4kw is produced to heat. These are most suitable with underfloor heating.  

 

Other forms of heat generating appliances are also available, such as wood chip/pellet or biomass. For more information on our range of renewable energy sources, please contact us.  

We can also offer rainwater harvesting systems. These are underground tanks which collect rainwater from the house rainwater gutters and downpipes. The water is filtered and stored in the underground tanks, then pumps either direct to or via break tanks to toilets or washing machines, or even animal water troughs.
